Moose Safari and Wildlife Tours
Spring-Summer-Fall

Come join me in the Moosehead Lake region as we search for the majestic Moose in Maine's northwoods and watersheds. As they are feeding in the mountain ponds we will quickly paddle my sturdy and stable Old Town canoes towards them to get up close and personal for that photo of a lifetime.

We will be on the West Branch Ponds northeast of Greenville with four mountain ranges looming in front of you. This is truly Gods Country. This is also a biology lesson as you'll learn about carnivorous pitcher plants that trap insects in the their own fluids, beavers and their habits and much more. Occasionally, osprey will dive for a trout dinner near us. Loons inhabit the ponds, with various ducks along with deer.

I can take up to 6 people. 3 canoes are used. A 4-5 hour trip. Two trips daily. Morning trip with breakfast at West Branch Pond Camps, a charming rustic log camp for campers and fly-fisherman with choice of pancakes, eggs any way you like them, cereals, toast, even bacon with coffee or tea included.
